An Evening of Excellence | Bids for Kids

The Education Foundation of Martin County (EFMC) is hosting its annual An Evening of Excellence, along with its signature Bids for Kids auctions. You won’t want to miss this year’s "Wizard of Oz” themed event presented by Morganti. The event is expected to raise over $120,000 to expand educational opportunities for students and teachers in the Martin County School District. These funds support numerous programs including, but not limited to, providing literacy resources, EFMC PLAYS - Purposeful Language Acquisition Yields Success, First Grade ONEders Teaching Cohort, New Teacher Saturday Support Sessions, New Educator Orientation, Re-Engineering Algebra, Robotics (elementary, middle and high school), Professional Development, STEAM Initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), Elementary Book Bowl, Martin County Teacher of the Year, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Share-a-Smile, classroom grants, and the Foundation’s YourClassroomConnection.org campaign aimed at connecting our community to local classrooms through the online Adopt-a-Class, Fund-a-Project, and Bulletin Board Listings program. On Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m., Mariner Sands Country Club will be the setting for this richly elegant event. During the cocktail reception, guests will have the opportunity to participate in the silent auction portion of Bids for Kids, featuring more than 400 auction items, including golf packages, fishing charters, signed memorabilia, spa treatments, jewelry, artwork, and much more. Later, guests will enjoy dining on their choice of filet mignon & lobster or a vegetarian dinner selection. Auctioneer KC Daniel will crank up the bidding during the Bids for Kids live auction and guests will be dancing their way to the Emerald City while listening to the sweet sounds of DJ Jammin Jim.
