Welcome to Firefest 2021! You may ask, what is Firefest? Firefest is a community event to celebrate Florida's relationship with fire. Learn about the importance of prescribed fire, safety awareness, and how important fire truly is to our local wildlife and community. Join us for a day of live fire demos, hayrides and swamp buggy tours through the park, pumpkin patches, campfires, live music, food and drinks, ghost tours, and much more! Prescribed Burn Demonstrations -Prescribed Day Burn Demo: 3:00 pm -Fire Buckets: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm; 4:30m pm - 6:30 pm -Prescribed Night Burn Demo: 7:30 pm -Smoke present during fire demos -Times may vary Educational Activities -Local nature and education vendors from the Tri-County area -Spray the fire hose off a fire truck! -Kimbell Center open throughout event -Photo Scavenger Hunt -Presentations from Park Staff, Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers, and more Live Music!
