Wings to Fly Dance Company HOPE

The world-class performances of the Wings to Fly Dance Company have become synonymous with passion, energy and sincerity. The quality and caliber of choreography and performance is what one would expect to see on a New York City stage. Wings To Fly’s ensemble of performers are nothing short of phenomenal. Wings To Fly is lead by artistic director, choreographer and dancer Tasha Patterson Shirley, who has performed with cultural icons such as Madonna, Christopher Cross, Diana Ross, and Earth Wind & Fire. The company’s assistant director, choreographer, and dancer, Tara Anstensen, has performed with Diana Ross, C & C Music Factory and Cyndi Lauper. Founding director Tena Patterson, now over 70, has trained and taught various genres of dance at the Royal Academy and formed the Florida Performing and Visual Arts Program for persons with disabilities. A culmination of years of experience, HOPE integrates dancers with and without disabilities. Their illuminating new show is noted for answering the call of many who dream of performing. Featuring Orlando Ballet’s principal dancer Arcadian Broad and Grammy-nominee Michael Moses, HOPE reveals how important faith, attitude and perseverance can be.
