About Us

HOG Technologies is the global leader in runway and pavement maintenance solutions, trusted worldwide for Safety, Reliability, and Productivity.

Founded in 1988 by James P. Crocker, HOG began as a small pressure-washing company. An opportunity soon arose to use high-pressure water to remove runway rubber, and Mr. Crocker recognized the potential to remove tough materials quickly and efficiently without damaging surfaces. This vision laid the foundation for a world-class manufacturing business dedicated to safer, cleaner, and more productive runways and roadways.

In the early 2000s, operating as Waterblasting Technologies, our flagship Stripe Hog® was deployed to its first customer, WJ, in England. By 2007, Pittsburgh International Airport became the first airport to own a Stripe Hog®, marking HOG’s rise as the industry leader. Over time, the company expanded its portfolio to include grinding, milling, rumble strips, and recessed pavement feature equipment.

In 2019, Waterblasting Technologies rebranded as HOG Technologies, establishing the HOG brand as a symbol of innovation and excellence worldwide. With Vince Giordano assuming the role of President in 2023, HOG achieved its strongest financial performance in 2024. In February 2025, HOG Technologies was acquired by Federal Signal Corporation, providing additional resources to continue its mission: to deliver the most safe, reliable, and productive equipment to the road and runway maintenance industry.

While ownership has changed, HOG’s vision, culture, and commitment to excellence remain the same.
