| JANUARY IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION MONTH |

As one of the nation’s leading anti-human trafficking non-profits, Place of Hope, in partnership with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers, is proud to announce the statewide expansion of its groundbreaking initiative to combat human trafficking.
Building on the success of its initial partnership with Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County, this first-of-its-kind collaboration significantly increases cash rewards for tips that lead to the rescue of trafficking survivors and the arrest of their captors.
Through this expanded partnership, Floridians can now earn up to $7,500 for providing actionable information via the **TIPS line, allowing callers to stay anonymous. “I encourage everyone to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity. It could save lives,” said Attorney General Ashley Moody during a press conference on Tuesday. “I’m glad to have Place of Hope with us on this mission. By working together, we can stop human traffickers. They’re monsters.”
The statewide expansion builds on the success of Place of Hope’s partnership with Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County, launched with the support of America’s Most Wanted creator John Walsh. By raising the total reward to $5,000 in Palm Beach County, Place of Hope doubled the number of tips, leading to increased investigations.
“Last year, Place of Hope pioneered the first partnership with Crime Stoppers Palm Beach County to help bring justice to survivors,” said Charles Bender, Founding CEO of Place of Hope. “We are proud to announce the expansion of this partnership statewide with Attorney General Moody and Crime Stoppers. For 25 years, we have served survivors and at-risk youth, while working to prevent child exploitation and trafficking before it happens.

The announcement follows Place of Hope’s record-breaking Light in the Shadows
Luncheon in December, where Attorney General Moody served as keynote speaker. The event raised unprecedented funds to support programs for trafficking survivors and community education.
Place of Hope is serious about preventing human trafficking, child exploitation and sextortion. We are working hard to stop it before it starts through a variety of initiatives and collaborations. Place of Hope is a core organizational partner with the Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund, as well as a new cyber initiative, The Collective Family App.
