Proposed Property Tax Amendment

On November 3, 2026, Florida voters will be asked to vote on the proposed constitutional amendment. If approved by at least 60% of the voters, it will increase the 2027 homestead exemption to $150,000 on non-school taxes for property owners who were permanent Florida residents on or before December 31, 2026, and will reduce the non-homestead 10% cap to 5%.
