Do we have an arthropod crisis in Martin County?

Hello to all the wonderful residents of Martin County! Here at the Martin County Tax Payers Association (MCTA), we've dedicated over 70 years to being the steadfast "Watch Dog" over your tax dollars. Operating primarily on volunteer efforts and the generous donations from community members like you, we've consistently kept an eye on how your hard-earned money is spent, ensuring your voice is heard loud and clear.

Thanks to your support, our monthly newsletter keeps you informed about where your tax dollars are destined and who is responsible for their allocation. Throughout each month, we attend a myriad of meetings to listen and occasionally speak up on behalf of our community's financial interests. Furthermore, we host events that introduce you to the individuals who require our tax support, offering them a platform to explain how they'll utilize these funds for the communal benefit.

As Giving Tuesday approaches, we're humbled to join this global day of giving and kindly request your donation to help us continue our mission into 2025. Your contributions allow us to maintain an attentive ear and a strong voice in these important discussions. Remember, as a nonprofit, all donations to MCTA are tax-deductible as permitted by the IRS. We deeply appreciate your consideration and support in safeguarding our community's financial future. Thank you for considering a donation!

Get Involved – We Need You!

Your 70+ year old, non-profit, taxpayer watchdog organization works with volunteers.  There are many county meetings (usually lasting only about 1 hour) that are open to the public.  We ask volunteers to attend just one a month (some don't even meet that often) and become the "expert" on that particular committee.  You will pick a committee meeting that interests you.  Then report back to the MCTA.  You need not write anything except notes for yourself.  If you are interested in serving your community without investing a lot of time, please contact Darlene for further information at  772-285-7447 or mctaxpayers1950@gmail.com
