Today is National Philanthropy Day, a special time set aside to recognize, honor and celebrate those who so graciously give of their time, talent or treasure to support causes close to their heart. Although we are grateful every day for the individuals, businesses and organizations that support our mission at Treasure Coast Hospice, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the difference you make in the lives of the patients, clients and families we serve in the community. |
A Special Visitor
Nothing's better than a visit from your favorite Disney character. When Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation staff learned that Charles, a young man with special needs who is in our care, was a big fan of the character Stitch from Disney's animated film Lilo and Stitch, they just knew they needed to arrange a visit.
Charles spent an hour with Stitch in the Martin Inpatient Unit and you can tell by looking at the smile on his face that he enjoyed every minute of their time together.
Since Charles' dad is a Veteran, the visit was made possible through donations made to the Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation Veteran Care Fund. |

Thursday, Dec. 5th at 6:00 PM at the Gazebo Park, 80 SE Ocean Blvd in Stuart.
Thursday, Dec. 12th at 6:00 PM at the Lakeside Gazebo at Tradition, SW Meeting Street in Port St. Lucie. The event at Tradition is a candle lighting ceremony. |
