Sen. Rick Scott Introduces SNAP Data Transparency and Oversight Act to Stop SNAP Fraud and Abuse
Senator Rick Scott announced the introduction of his SNAP Data Transparency and Oversight Act. This legislation will ensure the U.S. Department of Agriculture has timely access to state-administered Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) data to combat waste, fraud, and abuse within the system, which follows reports of states like California refusing to comply with federal oversight and enforcement. Senator Scott’s bill requires state agencies to provide recipient-level and case file information upon request as a condition of participation in SNAP to strengthen program integrity and prevent fraud by reinforcing federal oversight authority.
Senator Rick Scott said, “The American people are sick and tired of seeing their tax dollars, intended for critical programs like SNAP, completely wasted and abused instead of being used to help families in need. Even worse, Democrat-run state like California seem totally fine with being complicit in the fraud instead of allowing the federal government necessary oversight to address it. That should end now. My bill requires states to provide the necessary data for stronger oversight and accountability, so we do not allow bureaucracy or political agendas to stand in the way of preventing fraud and protecting taxpayer funds.”

Chairman Rick Scott Sends Letter to Secretary Hegseth on Securing Generic Drug Supply for Service Members and Veterans
Chairman Rick Scott and Ranking Member Kirsten Gillibrand sent a letter to Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth requesting information on efforts to identify and address vulnerabilities in America’s pharmaceutical supply chain that may threaten military readiness and national security. The senators expressed concern over the United States’ heavy reliance on foreign sources, particularly those from Communist China and India, for key starting materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and generic drugs essential to supporting our service members and veterans.

Sen. Rick Scott Leads One Nation, One Visa Policy Act to End Obama-Era Program Allowing Visa-Free Chinese Nationals to Infiltrate U.S. Territories
Senator Rick Scott introduced the One Nation, One Visa Policy Act to prohibit Communist Chinese nationals from entering the United States without a valid visa and barring them from participating in any visa-free travel program, including the Guam–Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Visa Waiver Program. This follows Senator Scott’s SAFE KIDS Act and recent letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Department of the Interior Secretary Doug Burgum urging the closure of dangerous Biden- and Obama-era programs that allow nationals from Communist China fast-track access to United States citizenship and exploit the U.S. surrogacy program, putting the safety of our country and its citizens at risk.
