Hurricane Season Preparedness
Governor Ron DeSantis is urging all Floridians to prepare for an active 2025 hurricane season, with forecasts predicting: Named storms: 13–18, Hurricanes: 7–10, Major hurricanes: 3–5, and Direct U.S. impacts: 3–6
In past years, we’ve found it extremely effective when residential communities and commercial property owners plan preemptively for security during storm events. Last year, we assisted several Stuart clients by preparing detailed security proposals ahead of storms, ensuring insurance paperwork and certificates of insurance were completed before power outages. Once roads were safe, an All Florida Security Officer was on site to protect their properties.
Our region, including Stuart, Port St. Lucie, and Fort Pierce, experienced shocking tornado activity and prolonged power outages last year. Having a professional security officer stationed at the entrance of your residential community can ensure that only residents and invited guests enter, deterring onlookers and opportunists during these vulnerable times. We encourage you to share our information with those responsible for security decisions in your community — preparation costs nothing but can make all the difference when it matters most.
Additionally, we supported a commercial client whose property was severely damaged by the 2024 tornadoes, leaving valuable inventory scattered across parking lots and streets, attracting looters. Our team immediately deployed round-the-clock armed security coverage, preventing theft and safeguarding the property from further loss or negative media exposure. We maintained coverage for several months — paid for by the insurance company — ensuring access was granted only to authorized individuals while protecting the owner from the serious liabilities posed by the building’s hazardous condition and deterring uninvited guests.
At All Florida Security Services, we remain committed to protecting our community before, during, and after severe weather events. We look forward to collaborating with fellow Chamber members and continuing to serve Stuart/Martin County with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
We also invite you to visit us at our table during the upcoming B2B Expo on July 16, hosted at the Chamber’s Business After Hours event. Come meet our team, learn more about our services, and discover how we can help protect your business or community. We look forward to connecting with fellow Chamber members in person!
