Hello,

Audubon is working to ensure that the future of birds remains a priority for our elected leaders. We are committed to advancing science-based, bipartisan solutions that address biodiversity loss—because what benefits birds also benefits people and the planet. But some of America’s most important conservation programs could be at risk if Congress does not fully fund them.

Urge your members of Congress to protect and invest in key conservation priorities for birds and people.

Since 1970, we have lost three billion North American birds, or more than 1 in 4 birds. Investing in conservation programs protects our natural resources, benefits local communities, creates recreation and other outdoor opportunities, and helps birds across the country. Save vital conservation programs that restore and protect the lands and waters that birds and people need.

Tell Congress to:
  • Invest in our National Wildlife Refuges, arguably the country’s most important conserved lands supporting wildlife and biodiversity.

  • Restore our nation’s major watersheds from the Everglades and Chesapeake Bay, to the Great Lakes and Columbia River.

  • Fund critical scientific research on migratory bird populations, specifically the Bird Banding Lab and Bird Breeding Survey, that monitor the health and threats to bird populations.
Join us in protecting these vital programs by urging Congress to invest in conservation priorities that deliver lasting benefits for birds, communities, and our economy.

Our work today is more important than ever to secure conservation gains that protect and improve the natural places that birds and people need. Thank you for joining us in this effort, and we will be in touch with more ways to get involved.

Sincerely,
