Dear Friends,
At Family Promise of Martin County, we start with why. Why do we do what we do? Because we believe every family deserves the dignity of a safe place to call home. Because we believe in the power of community to lift one another up. And because we believe that, with God’s guidance, we are called to serve with compassion, courage, and conviction.
This past month, June 2025, has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people come together around a shared purpose:
- We celebrated the graduation of parents who completed our Promise Quick Start career readiness program—equipping them with the tools and confidence to pursue meaningful employment and long-term stability.
- We hosted a joyful summer kick-off cookout, bringing families, staff, and volunteers together to share food, laughter, and hope.
- We prepared three new transitional housing units, ready to welcome families who are taking the next step toward independence.
- We provided eviction prevention services to three families, helping them stay in their homes and avoid the trauma of displacement.
- We welcomed five new families into our stabilization program, offering them the support and structure they need to rebuild.
- We upgraded security systems at our transitional housing units, ensuring a safer environment for the families we serve.
- We are feverishly working towards launching our Dear Someone video series on August 5th. Keep an eye on your email! We will be hosting a wrap party at EPIC Theatre on September 26th (see below)!
- And we are gearing up for one of our most exciting community events of the year—Bed Races 2025—a celebration of creativity, community, and commitment to ending family homelessness.
None of this would be possible without the incredible people who walk alongside us. This month, we’ve been blessed by the energy of new volunteers and the steady hands of seasoned ones, all united by a desire to make a difference.
As you read on in this newsletter, I invite you to reflect on the impact you’ve helped create. Your support—whether through time, donations, prayers, or advocacy—is the reason we can do this work. And as we look to the future, we continue to seek God’s direction and discernment in every decision we make.
Together, we are not just responding to crisis—we are building a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.
With gratitude and purpose, Madeleine Bozone
