- Ret. Officer Rich Wilson – 31 years Law Enforcement in both Virginia and Port St. Lucie Police Department, AFS instructor for the last 2 years, former student since 2019

Training That Raises the Bar
AFS provides in-house officer training designed to exceed industry standards. The company offers both in-person and online Class-D (Unarmed) Security courses, giving future officers — including those preparing to relocate to Florida — the ability to start their careers with confidence.
At its beautiful 1,200 sq. ft. Security & Firearms Training Center in Port St. Lucie, AFS trains over 700 students each year under the guidance of seasoned law enforcement and industry professionals. Courses include:
- Class-D (Unarmed) & Class-G (Armed) Security State License courses
- Pepper Spray, Expandable Baton, and Handcuffing Certification classes
- Weapon Retention & Defense Certification class
- First-Aid/CPR/AED and DOD Stop the Bleed Certification classes
- Firearms training both personal and group classes

In addition, AFS operates a one-stop-shop security duty gear store inside its PSL office, providing officers, graduates, and clients with firearms, personal safety accessories, and professional duty gear. - Verify the Agency License – Confirm a valid Class-B Security Agency License with the Florida Department of Agriculture
- Request Insurance Certificates – Always ask for proof of general liability and workers’ compensation insurance
