MYTH VS FACT: MEDICAID

Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of misinformation over the One Big Beautiful Bill’s impact on Medicaid. So let’s address some of these concerns and lay out how this legislation was crafted to strengthen—not cut—Medicaid for the millions of Americans who need it most.
MYTH: THEY CLAIM “PEOPLE WILL DIE BECAUSE OF THIS BILL”
For those worried, I want to be very clear—Medicaid will still be available for pregnant women, children, individuals with disabilities, low-income seniors, and other vulnerable Americans. By cracking down on fraud and abuse, and enforcing work requirements, the One Big Beautiful Bill ensures Medicaid benefits go to the people for whom the program was intended.
This bill stops waste while reinvesting in essential healthcare to serve our communities. This isn’t about denying care—it’s about reinforcing Medicaid’s effectiveness and purpose.
I’ll keep fighting for those who rely on Medicaid’s critical services and to ensure that we never forget its core mission.
