Rising insurance costs and the complexity of workers’ compensation continue to put pressure on businesses across Florida. While rates have dropped significantly since the Florida Chamber’s 2003 reforms, Florida still ranks among the 30 highest in the nation — leaving many employers searching for reliable ways to keep costs under control.
The good news: safer workplaces are the driving force behind continued rate decreases. In September, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) filed a proposed 6.9% decrease for 2026 policies, which, if approved, will contribute to a nearly 80% reduction since reforms were passed.
That’s where the Florida Chamber Safety Council comes in. Our Safety Membership is designed to act as an extension of your team and serve as your dedicated safety department. We provide essential resources, private and on-demand training, and expert guidance to strengthen workplace safety. With this support, businesses can stay compliant, overcome time constraints, and help make Florida the safest state in America. |
